Since childhood, Barbara Ricciardi already showed her love for the arts. Even with no connection to this world, since there were no other artists in her family, as a little girl, she already showed her skills, performing short ” presentations”, which her family gathered in front of the television, as her first audience. Even with so much love, the will to pursue an artistic career took a while to take part of the young girl from Guarulhos, São Paulo. At first, she dreamed of studying, in the most traditional way to be a veterinarian, but when she decided to embrace her first passion, she literally plunged herself into her choice: she took several dance courses, from rhythmic gymnastics to classical ballet. It was through dancing that she made her first attempt on the stage. Dancing was her first passion but her true love came up with acting, and she started her pursuit for new acting experiences by enrolling in Wolf Maya’s Professionalizing Course.
Eager for more knowledge and new experiences, she sought out the International Film Academy (Academia Internacional de Cinema) where she took the course in acting for Movies and TV. There, she both discovered herself and was discovered, starting her career as an actress, going through theater, cinema, television, and streaming. In her professional resumé, there are works in television, such as the series “Colônia”, on Canal Brasil and the soap opera “Poliana Moça”, on SBT. She has also acted in streaming, in the series “Desejos S.A.”, shown on Star +.
In the theater, Bárbara took part in the musical: “Areia”; besides the theater plays: “Brilho Eterno de uma Mente Sem Lembranças” and “Juno”; on the other hand, the cinema started in her life with the short film: “O Dia” by Lorena Freire, and “A Carta Que Nunca Recebi” by Karen Barizon, where she acted as the protagonist of these works. Yet, it was with the movie, “Eu não quero esquecer”, by Vallena Correia, that she had her effort awarded in two cinema festivals, as “Best Supporting Acting”, the FilmeWork Films Festival in São Paulo, and the International School Film Festival of Alvorada (Festival Internacional de Cinema Escolar da Alvorada), in Rio Grande do Sul.
“The work of an actress is a daily work. We have to be in constant learning to do the work we want to do in the best way possible,” she states.
